My Special travel, 'Camino de Santiago'

 

 

I went a special travel, 'Camino de Santiago' last year. 

 

'Camino de Santiago' means the road of Santiao in Spain.

Camino starts from St. Jean Pide de Port, France and then across northen Spain cathedral of Santiago de Compostela

 in northwestern Spain, is the final destination. The distance is apporaximately 800km.  

 

It's similar to the distance from Busan southKorea to Shinuiju northKorea.

 

As well, this road, 'Camino', has been well known to Korea by 'Alchemist' novel writtern by Paulo Coelho.

Most of all the reason why this travel is special is that we have to walk 800km.

I put all my luggage and carried in a backpack to walk. 

 

At fist, Camino was pilgrimagein Middle Ages. Besides regional purpose, 

 

now a days many people walk this road in various purpose such as inspirit, health and so on.  

 

Then, how can we go to Camino de Santiago?  You just walk along this yellow arrow. 

 

 It took me 35 days to walk the entire camino.

I met many people in different contries including Koreans.  

 

Someday I use to cook  dilicious Korean foods.

 

Also I used to have a lunch on a road.  

 

I was treated to some foods by local people because I couldn't find any restaurants and supermarkets on Sunday.  

 

Also we had a special party for the old people who has 70th birthday.

And he was very pleased at Korean's kindness on his birthday.  

 

I had dinner with them 3 days before arriving at Santiago de Compostela. We ate octopus. 

 

I felt this hard Camino like a picnic due to scenery like pictures natures shows 

 

And due to who walk the road together. 

 

When I farrived at Santiago de Compostela all the people who walked together this road with me shed the tears.

But we was very very happy. 

 

 Because Camino was too hard to walk physically, but I was born newly everyday.  

 

It is too hard to travel on foot in a high civilization these days.  

 

 But the more I walk the more I became happy.  

 

I got confidence after walking the entire 800km. And it was the best present in my life.  

 

The thing that I met in Camino was myself. So Camino de Santiago was the best travel place in my life.  

 

Someday I'd like to go there again but It isn't right now.
